It would make a decent donor car for a 4.6 swap. Other then that I wouldn't waste time with it.

It's my friend's car.

He has some bullitt brakes, infinity kappa 5x7s and tweeters, working seatbelt retractor, and mach 1 chin I want to take off before the insurance devil takes it away.

That sucks. I think you're allowed swap parts before they scrap it. Maybe your friend would help you swap the brakes and ect.... for a few bucks. Just thinking out loud.

Yeah that's the plan. The ins agent hasn't even come by yet so he won't even know it was touched. Going to put on my brakes, my speakers, and my seatbelt. And since he doesn't have stock speakers or brakes to put back on himself I'm going to try to get his parts for almost nothing (since he gets the same cash value from insurance no matter what's on the car). If we have time we're going to reinstall his stock headers/midpipe and see if he can get a stock shifter so he can make some money back on his MGW shifter. He's also got some 6000k HIDs we can pull out.

Going to get the speakers, chin and seatbelt tomorrow. I might try to snag the E-brake boot too, since 1999-200s don't have them. I don't know if it will mount on mine though.

Brakes might have to wait a day, but I really want them.......

Like everyone else said, swap the parts before the insurance adjuster comes by.

Okay, I got the chin spoiler and speakers on my car. We are holding off on the brakes until the adjuster comes by, they have USAA which is apparently pretty lenient, if they total (hopefully) if he's going to ask for a couple of days to 'swap his stock parts back on' without going into detail the mechanical work involved. Praying that the guy is cool with that, I'll swap the brakes, we'll trade out his MGW shifter, roush ****, HIDs, and midpipe/LT headers if we have time.

The reason I am not swapping the brakes before, is on the slim chance they don't total the car, and have it repaired, he will want the better brakes on it for the sale.

The deal between me an him is a seatbelt, chin spoiler, infinity speakers, factory running pony center caps, and front/rear bullitt brakes for $150. Score of the year for me if the ins agent lets him hang onto it.

One of our friends with a lowered ranger is buying his bullitt wheels with tires for $100, and swapping his older GT wheels on. We'll do this tomorrow so the ins thinks they were on the car the whole time.

I forgot how damned sexy my car looks with a chin spoiler.

Pulled the brakes off his car, but I'm starting to think the rear brakes he has are just regular V6/GT brakes painted red. He got them off C-list , so that would be possible. The paint on the rear calibers is peeling off very easily, and I don't believe he got new caliper mounting brackets or bigger dust shields when he bought them (I didn't even takes those off of his car anyway, haha). The Mach1/Bullitt/Cobra rear rotors are supposed to be 11.65" in diameter, so I'll measure them tomorrow and if they are the same things I have I'll just paint mine red. Front brakes are all that matters anyway.

If the rears are Cobras then they should have extender brackets to compensate for the larger rotor.

The rear rotors should be vented as well.
