Default Trouble code

I installed BBK's shorty headers on my manual 03 v6 over the past few days. Everything was going great after i remembered to plug in the MAF sensor...anyways, it threw another trouble code, this one being P0401; Insufficient EGR Flow. I know the only thing i messed with on the EGR system was the pipe which went from the front of the engine to the back of the passenger side header...everything is bolted back the way it came off, so what do i need to do to fix this problem? anyone else have a similar situation?

Also, I have an sct x3 tuner, i think somewhere in there it allows me to turn off the EGR system? has anyone done this, and what's the pros/cons.

Thanks!

I've had the same code for months. I'm about to buy a new EGR valve.

I wouldn't try shutting off the EGR system. I had faults left and right when I fixed something with the exhaust system. I replace the EGR Valve, the pressure sensor too. Check your O2 sensor too. My V6 tripped out when the plug was off just the slightest bit.

Keep the EGR on. If you turn it off you will lose mpg. This happens sometimes with aftermarket exhaust the EGR valve has a preset table of values and this can happen. I would simply reset the ECU or clear the codes and keep driving it.

Ditto that. Also, look at cleaning the thing. I'd start by disconnecting the battery or otherwise clearing the codes and driving it on several short trips. that'll hopefully let the ECU re-check the EGR function.

Having roughly the same issue on my saturn. So far I've replaced most of the underhood sensors on it. That gets spendy after a while.
