Default Said goodbye to the slowstang today

Recently I started driving 75-100 miles per day and have been spending over $400 per month on gas. It started feeling a bit ridiculous, so I decided the best thing I could do is get a new car. Ended up getting an awesome deal on a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL. Drove it and fell in love. It's a pretty low-profile car; it's definitely not flashy. But it has almost all the options, decent mileage, and enough power to get out of its own way on the highway. I'll get some pics of it when I get the windows tinted and take its ugly pinstripe off. I'll end up in another mustang some day, but I can't afford insurance on two cars right now so it'll have to wait till I graduate college.

gotta do what you gotta do. 99-04 v6 stangs get terrible mpg's compared to newer cars.

yeah I wish I was in a position to almost do something similar too, or at least get something used and let mine sit to the side to save on the gas, with the prices of gas going up lately and they are saying something close to $3.50/gal come spring and thats just painful to think about since I drive about the same as you.

And I must agree the 99-04's getting so-so gas mileage compared to the newer stangs on the road now, its just unreal.

Noooooo. everyone is getting rid of their Mustangs. I am thinking about giving mine to my soon to be wife and getting myself another Fox. I really miss my old Fox.
