Default Neon? What happened to it?

This first thing im sure that comes to mind when your about to repley to this is... It was that dam fast and furious movie. Well... What did happen? It seemed like after that movie was made the whole neon underglow or whatever fell out. I like neon its pretty... and was thinking of putting some on my car. Like around the seats and the center dashthingy like where the radio is and stuff.

If any of you watch the tv show "Smallville" Watch the episode "velocity" on season 2... has a pretty sweet 97-98 mustang on there...that runs on kryptinite boost... sorry for spelling and you have to watch the show or no about superman to no what im talking about. The cars in that episode are overly done with neon... thats not what i want just a little under the car and maybe in the grill...maybe?

I just thought of this and im in a hurry cuz im going to a friends house in a few

Peace,
Xilan

Neon is going away because it's incredibly tacky and people get tired of having theirs cars pointed and laughed at.

neon (if it goes w/ the rest of the car) is cool for interior IMO...

i really wouldnt mind havin some neon blue lighting running around where the floor meets the side panels... kinda like in the movies...

Neon on the exterior... sorry but that looks rediculous... ya might as well paint a picture of a dragon on the hood, buy some hub cap spinners, and slap some vtec stckers on it. that way everytime someone sees yer car they think yer more asian than jackie chan himself!

Lmao...true it does look tacky. I would like it for like under my seats...if it would fit. Its hard to take a vacuam cleaner hose under them things.

Mostly for the interior...i still think it would look cool if i could put a neon rod behind a mach 1 grille. Dunno my opionin. Wouldnt no till i see it in person.

Thx

Neon is like anything else= it's good if it's done tastefully. And I fully believe this can be done, as I have neon lights on my car. The only neon I have is an underbody kit that's the same color as the rest of the car (red). But if someone puts a ton of lights on their car making it look like a bag of skittles, I'm usually the first one to make fun of them.

Are you guys seriously talking about neon on mustangs??? In my opinion it's extremely tacky...inside and out.

The last time I saw neon underneath a car was about 3 months ago on the freeway....it was some dude with a V-6 Hyundai Tiburon with a body kit and fart can. It was utterly rediculous.

I've ALWAYS done my car how I like it, IDC how others feel about it. Then again, i feel everything do "fits" or "feels" right with the car. This be said, I have L.E.D. underglows. (I got the 7 color change L.E.D. just because it was the same price, I don't use that option tho.) I always keep mine on Tourquoise. I also have two Lunar Gauges on my A-pillar and Lunar Clustar gauge, well... these all light up Tourquoise, so with the gauges, and the underglow, I think it looks sweet. Yes, you do get a lot of looks, but I get 99% compliments on it, why? because it looks good with my set up.

First off your right about doing what you want cause it's your car.....with that said I can't believe you have neon on your stang. I bet the compliments you get are from "ricers" and the other looks are of disbelief someone would do that to a stang.....but hey I guess it's whatever floats your boat :surrender

I had the interior of my car DECKED with blacklight neons... I think like seven or eight feet in all with a neon-white stripping around the dashboards and ****? But I ended up getting so much **** from people about it, I took em' all out, ($300 worth) and sold them ALL for about $110.

Plus it was raping the **** out of my alternator.

Yeah, I think it's fairly unnattractive as well. I can go with some "not so over the top" interior lighting schemes, but exterior stuff just turns me off.

Also, as with my home state of Virginia, some places have out-right made it illegal to have it.

By the way, here's an example of "to much".
