cleaning car
ok, so i am running out of car cleaning things. and need new.. I was thinking about going and getting the meguiares perfessional. I want to make my car shiny as much as possible w/o a buffer till i can get the money for one... or would yall reconmend another brand, for the wash, clay, polish, wax, plastic shiny, wheel shiny, and interior..

There are alot of good brands and not many shitty ones so you cant go wrong really. I personly like the Poorboys line of products they arent very exspensive but last long and shine and work great and the best for me detailing cars is that you can use there waxes and sealents in the sun unlike alot of others which is nice for me.
You can google poorboys detailing products to see all there stuff.

you could spend a few thousand bucks on car detailing stuff and you still wouldn't have tried EVERYTHING. A good inexpensive product line that you can find locally at carquest is duragloss. Poorboys stuff is good but i'm not sure how easy it is to find locally, so it depends on if you need your car cleaning stuff right away or not. try www.autogeek.net or www.autopia-carcare.com and you will see how many diffeent brands there are

i was only thinking megs perfessional, becasue i can talk to my local orileys and get them to stock it for me... which would be really nice...

The Absorber. A drying "thing". Best spent 15$ I've spent on a car cleaning product ever. Should be available at local Autozone or Napa.

I'm not promoting the site, just the product. That's the first site that popped up when I googled "The Absorber". So, could be shady.

+1 on the absorber kicking ***
And, although it may seem gimicky, Turtle Wax Ice is awesome, I have always used turtle wax products and was very excited to see a *new-fangled* type product come from them, and I have used it and it works wonders... true blue is a very tricky color, but the turtle wax ice polish gives the best results without using a buffer in the shortest amount of time... love using it everythere!

Another good detailing product line is the adams stuff. my friend only uses there items and there top notch products that work really well. Im still a poorboys fan more so then adams. The meguires professional line is really good as well.

A lot of adams stuff is just relabeled chemical guys stuff. I'd rather skip the middleman and just get chemical guys stuff direct from them

-1000 on the absorber unless you want swirls and marring. Any dirt still on the paint after washing will just be grinded into the paint.

I have a friend who used to use them. I told him for years it will scratch his paint didn't listen. He wonders why his car had alot of swirl marks etc... Stopped using them and hes got alot less marks now between polishing/waxing times.

Im impressed you got that done in just 2 hours, especially since the new Mercedes have a ceramic scratch resistant clear. What polish, pads, and machine were you using?
