R3d, thats for a T70 turbo...guys at masterpower said they dont have one for the MP70, but that the two are close enough for guesstimation purpose's x)
Ill be running (hopefully) around 6-8psi to start with...ill probably have to beef everything up for anymore boost. As i mentioned before I have those custom cams, and ported PI's.
On another note, i emailed nick over at MHS for any updates on the single plane intake. Hopefully he'll have some updates. Also asked him about some pricing on some TF ported heads hehehe

1996: DD comes up with about 450rwhp at 8psi. The turbo selection kinda sucks so I had to finagle it a bit to get it to line up. Nonetheless, you're going to need at least an aviator pump and 42's.
#9667
OK so not to bad on the fuel system. I wanted to run new lines/pump/FPR at some point anyways so thats not an issue.
Thanks for the Dyno Sim R3d, thats right around where i want to be for power...still streetable. The car is going to be setup for auto x and open track so i dont need a top end killer.

How do you guys think a whipple for a lightning would fit under a cowl hood? or even a stock type hood right now i have a 2004 mach 1 hood? The blower is a side inlet just on the opposite side of the mustangs.

you can actually get that under a big-*** cowl. I don't think it'd entirely clear the mach hood but I can't say for sure it wouldn't. If nothing else, it's a good cowl size to figure out what you'll need.
I'm still in search of a True Blue 99-04 hood, any style. preferably in northern california

I found this youtube vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXNei...eature=related i saw that you Commented on it i just dont know if it a 5.4 or not

Thats my car in the video and yes the TT kit is for the most part a direct bolt-on kit to the 5.4, when you order a kit with the 5.4 plates make sure you do it over the phone because there is some extra hardware for the blower belt drive brace to make it fit on a 5.4 timing cover. Plus you'll have grind a boss off the timing cover where you relocate the alternator too because of contact issues, and a little metal has to be takin off the blower belt drive brace to clear the idler pulley thats above the belt tensioner. I told Charles the TT eng and he is making changes to the blower brace so it'll clear the idler pulley, but the boss on the timing cover has to go. If you have any questions about the kit and how its fits I'm always watching thos forum.
Sadly still no dyno numbers yet....

Eviloxide,
what kind of spacers are used with the Tork Tech Kit. Are they like the Intake spacers for the 4.6 intake to fit a 5.4? or they something different? I have a few Crown Vic guys wanting to do just what you did, But don't what the leaky, restrictive intake adapters. The TT kit lets you have a lighting motor that fits under the hood.
Heck I would love to do that if i wasn't so hell bent on N/A.

For those not inclined to click links (you lazy bastards) the TTI adapters for their blower kit are spacers that face sideways off the manifold body and are ONLY involved in airflow, no coolant (so no PITAMFSOBUFIA leaks) passes through them. The TTI spacers effectively add just under an inch of runner length which I'd call an improvement.
I think you'd need a small cowl still to fit it on a CV but I'm pretty sure that such a cowl is made already so it wouldn't be a big hassle.
Tell your CV buddies to join up over here and ask their questions directly to the group. They're welcome here too.

Tired, but starting the 5.4 swap in about 4 hours
Ok guys, i started reading at page 1, then got to page 10 before i realized there were over 200! I know you've probaby been asked a thousand time's but i just couldnt read anymore..
i've got a 99 mustang gt, just threw a rod, so im doing the 5.4 swap for sure! i'm gettin a engine today and im gonna start!
im not wanting to do any performance mod's YET, because i am only 17 and i am putting every penny i have into this swap!
please tell me what i need to get this thing in and running, and what kind of problems am i going to run into and how to solve them!
i already found a 5.4l 2v motor with 49,000 miles on it.. it's still running in the expedition, but a tree fell on top of it!
and for the cheapest(other than a tune) what is the MAIN thing that will give this thing some extra power without breaking the bank! and Redneck, i just wanted to say you are a hero to ALOT of people, haha, i've read on how much you've helped alot of people in the thread, and it would be GREAT if you would help me too!
as i said, somebody, please give me a DETAILED description as to what i need to get to get my car back up and running..
THANK ALOT EVERYONE, I WILL POST PICTURE UP OF THE ENTIRE BUILD, FROM P.O.S 4.6 STILL IN, TO THE 5.4 READY TO KILL SOME NEW TIRES!

still ok. Take the one from the vehicle that's got the prettiest oil.
Now then, you need: HPS intake, flywheel, fluids, tools, hammer. You'll modify your H-pipe and use pretty much all your stock 4.6 accessories, electronics and stuff.
There's another sticky in this forum that tells you more on all the little details. https://mustangboards.com/modular-4-...-write-up.html tells you everything. Please read that and then PM me or post up in here with any remaining questions/concerns.

I dont have the money to get that intake now, idc if i have to cut my hood a lil, i have and aftermarket intake on the 4.6, will it work for a while? or even the one on the 5.4? i need to get my car running for now, thats my only transportation! and i have borla exhaust on my car, should i swap it? im kinda iffy about cutting up a 2k dollar exhaust..
thanks for your help! i just got the engine, all is good, it ran great, and also, will my flywheel not work ? and if not, would the flywheel out of the donor truck work?

what aftermarket intake do you have on it? If you want to keep that then you'll need to pop for adapter plates (www.modularmustangracing.com or one of the other swappers probably has a set). Borla is fine, hell it's good stuff.
the 5.4 you buy has a flexplate, not a flywheel (only the cobra R came with a 5.4 iron block and a flywheel). You'll need an 8 bolt flywheel. What year is your car? We'll need to know that to tell you which flywheel to get to work with your clutch.
As for your exhaust, you'll need to have a minor modification done to the passenger side down pipe on the H-pipe where it comes down from the manifolds. You'll need to take it to an exhaust shop and have them add a inch on the down tube and spread the pipes apart an inch.
Read the 5.4 swap how to sticky in this forum. You need the info in it. It answers all these questions.

Hey guys, been reading up on this a bit and am weighing pricing and etc. Now im confused, do i have the AODE trans, or the 4R70W? And whichever i have, whats needed to make it stand up to a 5.4s torque/power?
