found killer thing...

I found a kind of paper made out of .... now get this,

copper filament. Like what would happen if you took the finest copper wool and pressed it into a sheet of paper. You can print on it through inkjets and all that jazz (no laser printing I guess).

I used a bit of it to add some strength to a wear prone area of my race seats... right where the left shoulder strap on the driver seat laps over the side when I unbuckle. I'll have pics up in a bit but I figured I'd whet your appetities.

Cost is $.75 for a 8.5x11 sheet... not cheap but super cool. I'm cutting some out in a little flame pattern for inside the headliner cargo pocket. Should look tight.

found the "paper" at the gift shop in Mrs. Grossmans sticker factory in Petaluma.

here's the spot on my seat. Got to finish transferring the flame pattern to the cargo net applique.
